Since the man first lit the torch and set it on the wall of the cave, lighting devices have come a long way, and to this day remain the most relevant subject of any room.
Actually, it was the torches and became the progenitors of modern floor lamps.The name "floor lamp" comes from the French word "torche" - torch. Torches mounted on high rods-holders or tripods are found in historical documents of ancient Greece and Rome.
