What’s in this homemade chocolate lip scrub?

caster super fine sugar – with smaller granules than traditional baking sugar, this super fine sugar is perfect for gently exfoliating lips.

dark chocolate – yes! this chocolate lip scrub is made with real, delicious, dark chocolate. Not only does it taste great, dark chocolate has lots of flavonols that hydrate skin, fight free radicals, and increases blood circulation for healthy, rosy lips.

cocoa powder – packed with antioxidants that help repair damaged lips, rejuvenates andhydratesskin, and exfoliates dead skin cells

vanilla extract– enhances the chocolate flavor

How to make homemade chocolate lip scrub with essential oil?

step 1: add 2 tablespoons caster super fine sugar (like this) to a small glass bowl

step 2: use a spice grinder or food processor to grind about 12-15 dark chocolate chips into a fine powder

tip #1 — put chocolate chips into the freezer for a few minutes before grinding them. This will keep them cold, and prevent them from melting during the grinding.

tip #2 — pulse the grinder on and off to grind the chips. Pulsing will grind the chips faster and help them to get to soft.

step 3: add 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder

step 4: add 2-3 drops of vanilla extract

step 5: put 2 teaspoons of avocado oil into a small bowl (I use this avocado oil)

then add 3 drops orange essential oil

and 3 drops tangerine essential oil

to the avocado oil and blend together

step 6: pour the avocado oil, orange essential oil, and tangerine essential oil into the bowl withthe sugar, chocolate, and cocoa

step 7: mix well

step 8: scoop into small jars (like this)

How to use chocolate lip scrub

• use a pea-size amount
• rub gently on your lips to buff away rough, dry skin
• then lick off excess — YUM!
• apply a lip balm to moisturize
• use1-2 times a week, as needed
• store in refrigerator in between use
